One of the biggest mistakes you can make is to base your event’s success on how many people attended. After all, a large audience means the event was amazing, right?

Nothing could be further from the truth.

Imagine you are a digital entrepreneur selling an online course. Which would you rather prefer—thousands of followers who barely interact with your site or blog, or hundreds of people who truly understand and love your products?

The same thing goes for events.

To ensure the impact and the success of your conference, meeting, trade show, or B2B matchmaking dynamic, you need to attract the right event attendees. Here’s why:

Reason #1

When you have a limited venue capacity and can only accept a certain number of guests, you’ll want to make sure that the right event attendees will have priority. For example, if you are running an event for entrepreneurs and investors, you may want to avoid accepting attendees who are service suppliers with just a mere interest in the topic.

Reason #2

The right event attendees will contribute enormously to the quality of your event. Think about B2B matchmaking dynamics. You can’t do much if your guests aren’t qualified or have nothing to offer, and your other guests won’t get much out of the event, either.

Reason #3

You can control or ask attendees for additional confirmation. Let’s say you’re planning a big event. Obviously, it’s almost impossible to accept or deny the attendance of thousands of people. However, if you want to offer discounts to students, you can implement a good vetting system, such as asking for proof of a student ID, to make sure the people requesting the discount are actually students.

You can get the right event attendees only by using event management software that has a powerful vetting system feature.

Fortunately, Eventtia has developed a powerful vetting system that allows you to accept or deny someone’s registration.

Here’s how it works:

  • Step #1. Go to Attendees and click Types.
  • Step #2. Click Edit and go to the attendee type.
  • Step #3. Enable the Requires validation after registration option.
  • Step #4. Save the configurations.
  • Step #5. Go to Messages and edit the text for Success registration message, Welcome email, and Rejection email.
  • Step #6. When people start to register, go to Attendees and click Attendees.
  • Step #7. Analyze the profile of the prospective attendee, then click Pending validation and Confirm or Deny the registration request. By doing so, the system will automatically send a welcome or rejection email.

As you can see, our vetting system is extremely user friendly. So don’t hesitate—start getting the right event attendees for your events starting now.
