Are you wanting to keep your audience up to date on the several events you run each year? Or would you like to increase traffic to your event landing page?

With Eventtia’s new event calendar widget you can do both. Easily integrate it as a banner and publish it on your website.

Seize the opportunity to promote your event to your website visitors with minimal effort. By accessing the banner, website visitors will be taken to your event landing page created on Eventtia, discover your event, and register.

Thus, you will increase the visibility of your event and even increase the conversion rate by attracting a higher number of registrants to your event.

What’s more, the widget helps you promote your past events by encouraging people to sign up to watch previous video content on-demand.

Just as the widget displays the list of events for a particular account, your website visitors will see your current, past and future events.

Also, the widget allows your audience to search for a particular event by name. It’s like having your event repository on your website, offering people the possibility to consume your content with ease.

How do I add the calendar widget to my website?

It’s very simple.

👉 Step 1: Sign in to Eventtia and go to the main dashboard.

👉 Step 2: Click on the Website module

👉Step 3: Create a new web page. You can call it “Other Events”

👉 Step 4: Add a “Free block” to access HTML and Javascript

👉 Step 5: The Javascript and HTML code will allow you to change certain settings of the widget, such as the description of the widget, the language in which it should appear, the colour and the name of the module where these events will appear.

The most important part of the Javascript code is the account API.

👉 Step 6: Once the settings are done, you need to access the preview to see the final version of the widget.

The code for the widget

data-ev-api-key: the api key related to the account of the events to be displayed

data-title: the widget title

data-description: the description of the widget

data-accent-color: the colour of the widget

data-lang: the widget currently supports ‘en’, ‘es’, ‘fr’, for English, Spanish and French

This is how you can add the widget to your website:

<Script

id = “ev-script”

data-title = “Custom title”

data-description = “Description of the widget …..”

data-lang = “en”

data-accent-color = “# AC7822”

data-ev-api-key = “xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-x”

src = “https://widget.eventtia.com/script.min.js”

/>

The script needs the following html tags to be set on your web page in order to be rendered:

<div id = “eventtia-widget”>

<div id = “evt-events-wrapper”> </div>

</div>

These tag sizes will limit the size of the widget and your website.

With this you can now proceed to promote your past, recurring, and future events.
