Ranked as the 4th best university in Latin American and 234th in the world for 2020, the Universidad de Los Andes is one of the most prestigious universities in Colombia. Situated in Bogotá, Colombia the institution is home 25,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students.
The Challenge
Events play a big part in the university’s day to day operations with hundreds of lectures, taster days, concerts, and exhibitions being held every year across the 12 faculties. For this reason, they needed to find a platform that could manage all of their events in one central platform that could be accessed by everyone.
A lack of customization on their previous EMS was making it difficult for the university to deliver a better, more complete attendee experience. They had no way of automating the registration with attendance confirmation, and they had no support for payment and registration which had to be done through a request to IT. This was causing long delays, low autonomy, and a loss of control over the hundreds of events being run at the university.
The Solution
Wanting to provide attendees with a better guest experience, the Universidad de Los Andes looked for a new solution.
