How it works

Local payments, one event platform.

Universities, associations and companies in Latin America often already collect payments with PayU. Connecting it to Eventtia keeps event revenue in the same account. PayU is built into Eventtia, so there is nothing to develop.

Connected in a few steps.

You need an active PayU account for your country. Full instructions are in the help center.

  1. Step 01

    Open the technical configuration

    In your PayU module, open Settings, then Technical configuration. Copy the API key and the API login.

  2. Step 02

    Copy your IDs

    In the left panel of the PayU module, copy the merchant ID and the account ID.

  3. Step 03

    Choose PayU in your event

    In Eventtia, open the event, then Settings and Advanced Settings. Select PayU and paste the four values.

  4. Step 04

    Test, then open registration

    Make a test registration and check the payment in PayU. Then open the event.

PayU payment questions.

Do I need my own PayU account?

Yes. You connect your own PayU account to your event, and payments go to that account.

Does Eventtia charge a fee on payments?

No. Eventtia charges no fee on payments. PayU charges its own processing fees, under your contract with PayU.

Which payment methods can attendees use?

The methods that your PayU account offers for your country and currency. They depend on your PayU contract and settings.

How do refunds work?

In-platform refunds are only available with Stripe. With PayU, you make the refund in your PayU account and cancel the registration in Eventtia, which updates the attendee record.

Can I use a different PayU account for each event?

Yes. The payment provider and its credentials are set per event, in the event's advanced settings.

Which currency will attendees pay in?

You set the currency per event. Your PayU account must accept that currency.
