What is an MCP server?
An MCP server is a secure connection between a software platform and an AI assistant. MCP stands for Model Context Protocol, an open standard governed by the Linux Foundation and backed by Anthropic and OpenAI. The Eventtia MCP server lets any AI assistant read your event data and run event tasks for you, in plain language.
Which AI assistants work with the Eventtia MCP server?
Any assistant that supports the Model Context Protocol. That includes Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Cursor, and custom agents your team builds. Because MCP is an open standard, new assistants work as soon as they adopt it. You do not wait for Eventtia to ship a separate integration.
Can the AI change or delete my event data?
Yes, within your permissions. The Eventtia MCP server supports both reading and writing. It can create events, register attendees, update sessions, and delete records such as sessions, checkpoints, and payments. It can only do what your Eventtia role already allows. Every change is recorded in Eventtia where your team can review it.
Does Eventtia use my prompts to train AI models?
No. Eventtia does not train AI models on your prompts or your event data. The MCP server passes your request to Eventtia, returns the answer, and stops there. Your AI assistant provider has its own data policy, so check that separately if your security team asks.
How much does it cost?
Nothing. The Eventtia MCP server is included with every Eventtia plan. There is no add-on fee, no usage tier, and no free period that expires later. All 49 capabilities are available to every customer.
How do I connect it?
Open the connector settings in your AI assistant, add https://connect-mcp.eventtia.com/mcp as the server address, and sign in with your Eventtia email and password. Then ask your first question. The whole process takes under 5 minutes. Step by step instructions are in the setup section above.
What permissions does the assistant have?
Exactly yours. You sign in with your own Eventtia account, so the assistant inherits your role and its limits. If your role cannot see a specific event or edit payments, the assistant cannot either. To give an assistant narrower access, connect it with an Eventtia user that has the role you want.
What is the difference between an MCP server and an API?
An API is built for developers writing code. An MCP server is built for AI assistants working in plain language. The Eventtia MCP server sits on top of the Eventtia REST API v4, so both reach the same data with the same permissions. The difference is who can use it, and how fast.
How does authentication actually work, technically?
When you sign in, the MCP server exchanges your Eventtia email and password for an access token through the same authentication endpoint developers use directly on the REST API. That token, not your password, is what travels with every request your assistant makes, and it carries your account's exact role and permissions. How is this different from the AI features other event platforms offer?
