How it works

From checkout to your Stripe account.

Stripe is built into Eventtia. There is nothing to build: you connect your account and choose it as the payment provider of the event.

  1. Step 01

    Copy your Stripe keys

    In Stripe, open Developers, then API keys. Copy the publishable key and the secret key.

  2. Step 02

    Open your event settings

    In Eventtia, open the event, then Settings and Advanced Settings.

  3. Step 03

    Choose Stripe and save

    Select Stripe as the payment provider, paste both keys and save.

  4. Step 04

    Turn on Apple Pay

    Optional. In Stripe, add connect.eventtia.com as a domain in your payment method settings.

Stripe is the payment provider most Eventtia customers use in Europe and North America. Among them: EF Education First, France Renouvelables and Merca 2.0.

Stripe payment questions.

Do I need my own Stripe account?

Yes. You connect your own Stripe account to your event, and ticket and registration payments go to that account.

Does Eventtia charge a fee on payments?

No. Eventtia charges no fee on payments. Stripe charges its own processing fees, under your contract with Stripe.

Can I use a different Stripe account for each event?

Yes. The payment provider and its keys are set per event, in the event's advanced settings. Each event can use its own Stripe account.

How do refunds work with Stripe?

With Stripe, the integration is end to end inside Eventtia. You cancel or refund from Eventtia, the refund posts through Stripe, and the attendee record is updated.

Can attendees pay with Apple Pay?

Yes. Add connect.eventtia.com as a domain in the payment method settings of your Stripe account. Attendees then see Apple Pay at checkout.

Which currency will attendees pay in?

You set the currency per event. Your Stripe account must accept that currency.

Can I also accept bank transfers?

Yes. For bank transfers or other offline payments, you receive the money outside Eventtia and mark the registration as paid in the platform.
