Attendee networking

Same job, running events from registration to networking to check-in. Different way of doing it.

Convergent signals: public reviews across G2 (2,400+), Trustpilot, GetApp, and TrustRadius, plus what Whova publicly argues about its own model. The first five themes come up every time. The sixth is new this autumn: AI.
Every Whova event lives inside the Whova app. Every attendee searches "Whova" in the App Store. Every event looks like every other Whova event with your logo dropped in the corner. Whova's own marketing argues this is fine, and that white-label apps are "five to ten times more expensive" so you should spend that money on better catering instead. For brand teams running customer-facing events, that's the wrong trade.
"White-label event apps are five to ten times more expensive. Spend that money on better catering instead."
Whova marketing blog · "Is a White-Label Event App Really Worthwhile?"Whova's pricing page shows logos and quotes, not numbers. The actual cost structure, reported across G2, GetApp, and customer forums: a custom per-event base fee, plus 3.0% + $0.99 on every paid ticket, plus add-ons reported up to $2,000 (unlimited document uploads, as one example). Teams report learning the full cost only after they've signed.
"Some users say they were unaware of the full pricing details before purchase, leading to unexpected expenses."
GetApp summary of Whova reviewsWhova's pricing is structured event by event. Each new event is a new quote, a new commitment, often a fresh add-on conversation. There's no annual pool of credits to draw from across a year of programming. Whova does offer a "multi-event package" for organizers committing to several events upfront, but that still pins you to a fixed event count chosen before the year starts. Run six events instead of four, you renegotiate. Run three instead of six, you've paid for capacity you can't redeploy.
"Custom quote per event. Multi-event packages require committing to a fixed number of events upfront, decided at signature."
Whova pricing model, as documented across G2, GetApp, and customer forumsAcross G2 reviews, excessive notifications come up 27 times in user-flagged pros/cons. Attendees report being unable to focus on what matters because the platform pushes engagement reminders, gamification prompts, and "find people like you" alerts at a volume your event team didn't approve. For a brand running a high-end customer event, that volume is a brand experience problem before it's a UX one.
"Many of what showed up as alerts wasn't important to me and there were so many that I had a difficult time catching the things that were important."
G2 reviewerWhova lets you upload a logo, pick brand colors, and set a header image. The layers underneath (agenda structure, registration flow, attendee journey, the shape of the experience itself) are template-bound. For events where the experience is part of the brand, that ceiling lands fast. The clearest acknowledgement comes from a competitor: Bizzabo's own comparison page describes the same limitation in plain language.
"Whova offers limited customization, often restricting your ability to control layouts and branding."
Bizzabo competitive page on Whova alternativesWhova’s AI helps organizers write: AI Companion drafts invitation emails and event descriptions, and an AI-generated summary builds the post-event report. Whova has not announced an MCP server and does not publish a public developer API. Its Zapier MCP connection offers one action: create or update an attendee. Teams that already use Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot every day want that assistant to work inside the event tool itself.

Their sweet spot. Peer-to-peer programs where the conversation is the point of the event. 50,000+ events powered, 15M+ users, Google, Microsoft, Harvard, NASA on the customer list.
Free ticketing on free events, no platform-level cost. Real value prop if budget is the constraint and brand identity isn't the priority for that specific event.

Eventtia runs the same event programs Whova runs, with one structural difference: the platform builds your event, your app, and your brand presence, not a folder inside ours.
Your brand from first click to last. The event page lives at your domain, not under Whova's. Registration, agenda, sponsors, communications, badges: all branded as your event, not as a Whova event with your logo dropped in. Most teams ship Eventtia as a beautifully branded web experience that works on every device without an install. Need a custom native app for your largest events? That's available as an add-on, also fully white-labeled.
Essential plan starts at $1,650 / year for 250 attendees. Add-ons priced on the page. No quote-by-quote pricing, no per-ticket fees that compound on paid registrations, no add-ons that surface after signature. The number you see is the number you pay.
Twelve months of platform access, with attendee credits to use across as many events as your plan covers. No per-event quote, no fresh procurement loop each time you add an event. Run three events this year, run ten next year, same license, same predictable cost. The commitment is annual and singular, not per-event and serial.
Email, SMS, in-app messaging: every channel, every trigger configurable by you. No platform-pushed engagement reminders to your attendees. No default-on gamification spam. The voice your attendees hear is the voice your brand wrote, on the cadence your team chose.
Layout, agenda structure, registration flow, attendee journey, communication cadence: configurable, not just brandable. Existing customers like Cartier, Nike, Sony build event experiences that feel like extensions of the brand, not template variants of each other. The customization ceiling sits well above logo and color swap.
Eventtia’s MCP server has been live since August 2026. It connects Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot and other AI assistants to your account, with read and write access: 51 operations, included in every plan. Your team asks in plain language. The assistant does the work in Eventtia, inside the limits of each user’s role.
An MCP server is the connection that lets an AI assistant like Claude, ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot work inside your event platform. Eventtia’s has been live since August 2026. Whova has not announced one, and its Zapier MCP connection offers one action: create or update an attendee.

For reference: Whova's pricing page does not show numbers. The figures above come from users on G2, GetApp, and Trustpilot reporting what they were actually charged. The 3% + $0.99-per-paid-ticket structure means a 1,000-attendee paid event at $200 a ticket pays Whova roughly $3,990 in transaction fees alone, before counting the base or any add-ons. None of those numbers are published on whova.com.
Not as of October 2026. Whova’s AI features help organizers write emails, descriptions and post-event summaries inside Whova. Whova does not publish a public developer API, and its Zapier MCP connection offers one action: create or update an attendee. Eventtia’s MCP server has been live since August 2026 and works with Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot and other MCP assistants.
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets an AI assistant use another piece of software. An MCP server is the connection on the software side. With Eventtia’s, your team can ask Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot to create an event, add a form field or check who registered, and the assistant does it in your Eventtia account.
Both. The assistant can read and write: 51 operations across events, attendee types, forms, sessions, attendees, check-ins and payments. It works with the permissions of the person who connected it. A user who cannot confirm attendees in Eventtia cannot do it through an assistant either, and every change is recorded in Eventtia.
Not on the Eventtia side. The MCP server is included in every Eventtia plan, with no add-on and no usage fee. Your AI assistant is a separate subscription with its own provider.
Onboarding takes 2 to 3 weeks, and most teams publish their first event page in their first week. If you have a date to meet, such as registration opening, tell us on the call and we plan the setup backwards from it.
Pricing for your event size. Whether white-label is included or an add-on. What multilingual really means in your stack. Evia answers in plain English, no form, no commitment.
No deck. No sales theater. If Eventtia isn't the right tool for what you're doing, we'll tell you. That's the point of the call.
